Galvalume is proprietary steel with a coating consisting of 55% aluminum, 43% zinc and 2% silicon over the base metal to protect it from the elements. This coating has superior corrosion resistance which gives it two to four times the life span over traditional galvanized metal.
Usage:Roofing and siding applications,Unexposed automotive parts,Appliances,Furniture,Outdoor cabinetry,Computer cases,Pipes and so on.

Hot dipped 55% Al-Zn alloy steel sheet is anti-rust in 20years,however,the phenomenon of rust will occur on corresponding galvanized steel sheet for about 10 years,14% Al-Zn plated steel sheet for about 10 years and 7% Al-Zn plated steel sheet for about 9 years.
It may be found from calculation according to value determined on a mount of rust that corrosion resistance performance of 55% Al-Zn plated alloy steel sheet may be up to over 30 years.
